1. Introduction
Merident Innovations GmbH ("we," "us," or "our") takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data when you visit our website at dentosophydirectory.com, use our content, or are listed as a therapist or dentist in the Dentosophy Directory. Because our audience includes individuals in Switzerland and the European Union, we observe both the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP / revDSG) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The Dentosophy Directory is an informational listing of dentists and therapists who have completed Dentosophy training. We do not provide medical or dental services, and a listing is not an endorsement.

Our website uses external service providers for hosting and data management in order to ensure secure and fast delivery.
- Vercel Inc.: The front end of our website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA). Vercel processes connection data (e.g. IP address, browser information, timestamps) to deliver content technically and to maintain the security of the site.
- Sanity.io:As a headless content management system (CMS) we use Sanity (Sanity Inc., San Francisco, USA). Website content as well as the data of listed practitioners is stored on and served from Sanity's servers.
Where these providers process data in the United States, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and appropriate safeguards to ensure an adequate level of data protection. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and efficient provision of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR / the corresponding provision of Swiss law).
4. Cookies and Consent
Our website uses cookies — small text files that your browser stores on your device. We distinguish between the following categories:
- Strictly necessary cookies: These are essential for the operation of the site (e.g. to store your cookie preferences). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Comfort, analytics, and personalization cookies: We use these only where you actively consent in the cookie banner (opt-in). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future, through the cookie settings on our website or your browser settings.
5. Analytics and Tracking Tools
5.1 Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google uses cookies and similar technologies to analyze how visitors use our website.
The data collected includes, among other things: IP address (generally anonymized within the EU), device and browser information, pages viewed, time on site, click paths, and the referring URL. This information helps us evaluate use of the website and improve our offering.
Google may process data on servers in the United States. We base this transfer on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). Google Analytics is activated only where you have consented to the use of analytics cookies via our cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To opt out of Google Analytics across websites, you can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Google Maps (Geocoding & Places)
To display locations and to provide the search function in the Dentosophy Directory, we use the Google Maps Geocoding and Google Maps Places services (Google Ireland Limited).
When you use a map or the location search, data such as your IP address, browser information, and — if released by your browser — location data is transmitted to Google. Google uses this data to provide map data and to enable the search function.
These features are loaded only where you have consented to the use of maps/personalization cookies in the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Google may transfer data to the United States (SCCs). You can withdraw your consent at any time by adjusting your cookie settings.
7. Sanity CMS
We use Sanity as a headless CMS to manage and deliver content. Sanity processes:
- website content (text, images, structured data);
- the data of listed practitioners (e.g. name, practice, address, contact details), to the extent it is displayed in the directory;
- technical metadata (e.g. access logs, IP addresses).
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a high-performing and secure content-management system (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, for the display of practitioner profiles, the performance of our contract with the participating practitioners (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
8. Directory Listings and Contact
8.1 Publication in the Dentosophy Directory
When you are included in our directory as a therapist or dentist, we publish the data you provide: name, title, practice address, contact details (telephone, email, website), and, where applicable, a photo and information about continuing education.
